Eagle Lane theatre in Streator is the proud and deserving recipient of the 2002 Illinois Community Theatre of the Year Award. Community Players of Streator, Inc. evolved from a small group of people who just wanted to “do a play.” Today, due to many generous benefactors, the group continues to provide quality theatrical experiences. Stage 212 Inc., located in charming downtown LaSalle, is entering its 39th season. The renovated Robert D. Manahan Center for the Performing Arts is the perfect setting for a theatrical experience. Since 1968, Stage 212 has brought the area over 100 major productions. This summer’s musical Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Cats” runs from July 20-August 5.
